Our 2026 Ambassadors

Ashley
I am someone who delights in the smallest, everyday adventures but isn’t afraid to take the leap when an unexpected opportunity or challenge pops up. A writer and designer by trade and photographer as well… you can often spot me on the trail studying minuscule details of nature, taking 127 photos and videos of the sunset and gasping ‘look at that light!’ Over and over. A homeschooling mama to three, I hike to ground, relieve stress and soak in the peace of nature… but also to crush new challenges and goals. The Crucible helped me take my affinity for being in the woods and grew it into a full blown hobby and lifestyle. Hiking has been a practice in finding myself, pushing myself to new limits and giving me a new community of pretty cool friends, friends who match my crazy. I am looking forward to the 2026 Crucibles!

Megan
Hi, I'm Megan, and I like long walks in the woods....
Turns out, the longer, the better! Nothing beats strapping on those boots, and putting in some miles on the trails, preferably with friends. I try to hit a trail wherever I travel, with Oregon currently having a couple of my favorite trails. I also arrange a trip to Cuyahoga every year, and am planning a week long backpacking trip to Isle Royale next summer. I love introducing people to new trails, new parks, and new snacks. I routinely pack enough snacks to feed an army for a week!
Aside from hiking, I love cooking and baking (food is my favorite!), as well as reading and knitting. I've got 3 kitties, and a husband who's a crazy cat-lady. We frequently travel to random DCFC games together, and if it's baseball season, we always catch a baseball game wherever we are.

Rebekah
Hi, my name is Rebekah and I have completed 2 Crucible hikes. I also recently did the Lower Michigan Triple Crown, as well as a 30 mile endurance hike. I am so excited to share all my training tips and tricks and encourage more people to step outside of their comfort zones and try hard things. Happy hiking!
